Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, our start and end point for this away run is now unable to accommodate us on the planned date of Tuesday the 6th of June. To that end, the committee have decided to re-schedule the Bowood run for Thursday the 8th of June instead. The runs originally planned for Thursday will be moved to Tuesday on the training schedule.
We are sorry that this may result in some of you being unable able to now attend the away run but hope you understand that this was the preferred option rather than cancelling outright. We hope that most of you will still be able to join us for a lovely scenic evening run around Bowood and then for some post run refreshments in The Lansdowne Arms afterwards.
Parking at The Lansdowne Arms will be limited but we are welcome to use their car park or the surrounding side roads. Please DO NOT park in the residents car park which is adjacent to the pub car park and marked as such. As always we strongly encourage you to car share with other CRC members if at all possible.
This week our For Fox Sake (Tom Fox Memorial) Away Run starts and ends outside The Bell on the Common in Broughton Gifford. Please arrive at 18:45 in preparation for a 19:00 start. There will be no regular club sessions from the Springfield Community Campus on Tuesday.
Thursday’s session will start and end at Springfield Community Campus so please try and arrive for 18:50 ready for 18:55 briefing and a prompt 19:00 start for all sessions.
The training schedule for this week is as follows (group leaders may change subject to their availability):
Please also see our full training schedule here. A fuller description of what each training session involves can also be found at the foot of the page. Route plans that correspond to the training sessions can be found here.
Now that the nicer weather and lighter evenings are with us it’s time to announce the schedule of Away Runs for 2017. The first run is departing from next to the duck pond in Biddestone on Tuesday 4th April. Please note that for this run only we will meet early at 18:30 for a 18:45 start as it is still getting dark by the expected finish time.
The away run schedule for your calendars is as follows:
A few things to note:
The away runs have been added to the training schedule on the website here
Details of the meeting places, times and route maps can be found on the away runs page here
On a day where there is an away run scheduled there will notbe any club organised groups departing from the Springfield Community Campus
Unless stated otherwise there will be a 3 Mile Group route, an Intermediate Group route and an Advanced Group route available at each venue
Please try to car share where possible to reduce our footprint on the environment and on our guest venues
We hope to see as many of you as possible join us in taking in the beautiful local countryside (and possibly enjoy a cheeky drink in the pub at the end!).
