I started out my running journey completing the couch to 5K programme, also incorporating regular short sessions with my neighbour.  This led me to look at ways that I could improve my running further. The obvious choice was to see what CRC could offer me. Having tried out a couple of the 3-mile group sessions and … Continue reading “Matt S.”

I joined CRC when I moved to Corsham last year in the hope of meeting new people and improving my running. After coming along to a few sessions, I quickly found CRC to be incredibly social, friendly and supportive, catering for runners of all abilities and experience. The training sessions are well thought out, with … Continue reading “Laura B.”

I joined Corsham Running Club to improve my running and found a lot more, from well-structured and sociable training sessions to fun off-road trail runs to camaraderie at race events. This is a well-organised, friendly, inclusive club that doesn’t leave any runner behind.

5 years ago, I ran fairly seriously. Then my knee went and I stopped for a long time whilst it healed. Corsham 10k 2023 was my first race after starting up again, and I was only running half heartedly in the lead up. The result was that I hated every second, thought I was going to vomit several times, and basically dragged myself round the course. However! The signs made me smile every time I saw them, and I decided during that race to check out CRC. It was the best decision I ever made. Not only has my fitness improved no end, but I’ve met wonderful people, and always feel welcome.
