Hazelbury Hurrah!



Corsham Running Club are delighted to announce that the Hazelbury Hurrah! will see a second running in 2019. With the popularity of our inaugural event in 2018, we are excited to be able to announce a few improvements making this a truly great evening for the whole family.

Runners in our main race will once again be offered 6 miles of off road evening running over a varied route. Beautiful views and a good-time guaranteed for all! New for 2019, we will also be offering a fun run (1km) and a junior race (2km), see below for more details. All races licensed by UK Athletics under reference 2019-38029.

Main race info:

  • Location: Leafy Lane Playing Fields, Corsham, SN13 0JS
  • Date: Friday 12th July 2019
  • Time: 7:15pm
  • Registration: 5:30pm – 7pm
  • Price: £8 affiliated / £10 unaffiliated
  • Prizes: Male and female 1st, 2nd & 3rd place; Male and female first V40, V50 and V60; Team prize for first 2 male and female from the same team/club to count; Please note there will only be one individual prize per person – in the event of one person being eligible for more than one prize then the highest overall value prize will be awarded
  • Pie (or veg alternative) and beer for all finishers
  • Course records: Male; Sam Pictor 33:47 & Female; Marie Vinolo-Young 44:39
  • Ages: 15 plus
  • Route: An intricate and varied off-road route, taking in 6 miles of occasionally hilly and technical terrain around Hazelbury Manor and Box valley. Includes a few sections on quiet roads. Check out the route on Strava
  • Places: Increased to 200 entries for 2019!
  • Facilities: we have full use of the facilities at the football club so are pleased to be able to offer changing rooms and showers

Junior race info:

  • Location: Leafy Lane Playing Fields, Corsham, SN13 0JS
  • Date: Friday 12th July 2019
  • Time: 6:30pm
  • Registration: 5:30pm – 6:15pm
  • Price: £4
  • Prizes: There will be awards for the first boy and girl in each of the following age categories; under 9, under 11, under 13, under 15 and under 17
  • Ages: All runners must be aged between 7 and 17 as at 31/3/2019. This race will form part of the Wiltshire Junior Race League for 2019
  • Route: 2KM, off road, flat, through the field and adjacent woods
  • Places: 100 entries

Fun run info:

  • Location: Leafy Lane Playing Fields, Corsham, SN13 0JS
  • Date: Friday 12th July 2019
  • Time: 6pm
  • Registration: 5pm – 5:45pm
  • Price: £4
  • Prizes: All children will receive a snack and a drink upon completion
  • Ages: 4 – 7 only. Children may be accompanied by a maximum of one adult but please do not enter the race, simply accompany them on the evening
  • Route: 1KM, off road, flat, through the field and the adjacent woods
  • Places: 75 entries (additionally maximum of 1 accompanying adult per child)
