Weekly Review – Week Ending 30th December

Unsurprisingly, there wasn’t a lot of activity this week around the club as many of us took a well earned break.

We did start the week with our annual Christmas Eve run around Castle Combe, this year joining forces with our friends from Chippenham Harriers, Chippenham Tri, Calne RC and even Hogweed Trotters in memory of Lucy Jillings.

With options of a fast 6, a gentler 6, a gentle 5, a 3 miler and a 2 mile walk for those with parenting responsibilities, everyone was catered for and there was a superb turnout.

Boxing Day saw the annual recovery run on the Slaughterford 9 route.

And in races, Daniel Parker and Chris Hunt did the 12 mile Plain Crazy event. It apparently had some big hills so this picture may be a before shot.

And finally, it only seems fitting to end the year with our chairman Richard, doing the Gingerbread Run. I’m sure we’d all like more details as he said it took 4.5 miles to catch the gingerbread man?

We’d like to wish all of our members a Happy New Year and a successful 2019 with all goals achieved.
