Weekly Review – Week Ending 30th September

We had 11 runners at our latest club championship race, the Devizes 10K. Great performances all round but especially from Kathryn Roynon, who took 6.5 minutes off of her PB, that’s a minute a mile.

Carl Zalek got over the disappointment of his DNF last weekend with an 8th place finish (out of 152) at the Green Man Ultra, a 46 mile loop of Bristol in a PB on that race.

Julian Thornhill ran his 3rd half marathon in 4 weekends, this time popping to visit the queen at Windsor.

David and Angela Aplin aren’t adverse to an off road race and travelled north for the Forest of Dean half marathon.

The Wiltshire Off-Road Race League (WORL) started at the weekend with the 10K Brinkworth Bash, I should imagine that conditions were not typical off-road conditions. Chris Hunt was our sole representative to get us some points on the scoreboard.

And finally, Edd Stone obviously didn’t realise that there were some local(ish) half marathons this weekend as he took part in the Great Scottish Run in Glasgow.
