It’s been a good week for CRC.
We had 5 teams at the Avon Valley Relay on Saturday, a traditional pass the baton relay from Bradford-on-Avon Rugby Club to Trowbridge Rugby Club. In spite of the searing heat, everyone managed to get safely to the end of their leg and many met up at Trowbridge to celebrate in the traditional cake and drinking method we favour.
Daniel Parker was unable to run at the Avon Valley Relay as he was doing his first ultra marathon, the Ham & Lyme 50k. It took him just under 7.5 hours to make his way to Lyme Regis for a pint at the seaside. He was joined by Craig Rumble who came 7th overall in a time of 5:00:01! Well done to both of you.
After coming second lady last month in the first of the Aspire Summer Sunset Series races, Marie Vinolo-Young went one better and won the second race. Fantastic Marie!
Oh and Damian Hall won the 55k Lakeland Trails Race in a new course record time.
