CRC Club Championship: Fixture Amendment

Unfortunately one of our scheduled Club Championship races, the Devizes 10K, has been cancelled for 2017.

Luckily we have found an alternative chip-timed 10K on the same day (March 19th). The Calne Rotary 10km Charity Fun Run takes place in the grounds of Bowood House and is run on mixture of tarmac, trail and grass. Please note that there are two entry types available, one with a medal and t-shirt and one without either so you have some flexibility on keeping the price low if you so wish.

The schedule of races has been updated so get your entries in and we look forward to seeing a lot of you there.

The weekend in review – a busy weekend of running by CRC members

It looks like our members have been racking up the miles this weekend!

Huge congratulations to Alison Graham who won silver in her age category and the South West Inter-Counties XC Championships at Exeter racecourse. A well deserved reward for all of her hard work. It seems like Wiltshire had quite a few medals in different categories so our congratulations go out to all team members. Provisional results are available here.

Congratulations also to David Mackie who took part in the Rough’N’Tumble who knocked 13 minutes and 80 places off of his previous result. Indeed a great start to the year!

There were a number of ad-hoc runs organised on the club Facebook group for this weekend:

  • Slaughterford9 route social group run
  • OverTheHills route social group run
  • 12 mile steady road run around Corsham and the surrounding areas

More and more weekend runs are being organised so please do keep an eye on the Facebook group to see if there is anything that you would like to join in with.

Lastly, well done to everyone who got out for a run this weekend regardless of distance or pace!
