Weekly Review – Week Ending 26th January

This weekend saw the first club championship event of 2020 and as always we started with Slaughterford 9. For a race that is usually wet and muddy, those that ran claimed it was the worst one ever.
We still managed to have 29 people there, with Craig Rumble being the first Corshan runner back in a little over an hour, 9th place and a prize for 3rd vet 40.
Laura Midwinter and Claire Hunt were 2nd vet 40 and 3rd vet 60.And it’s not all about those leading the way, we should also praise Natalie Inman and Laura Di Pisa, doing the event for the first time and finishing just under 2 hours.
We had 4 people at the Stonehenge Stomp, which Chris Hunt described as  30 official strenuous kms, and to go without saying, a few bonus Ks to make it 20 miles. Great social run, and highly recommended especially at the bargain price of £5.
Photo of Stonehenge may not be from today. And of course, this week we had our AGM. Business was done, reports were made, Awards were handed out (WINNERS HERE), food and drink were consumed and we had an excellent running themed quiz hosted by Sara and Steve which included a practical element. A fantastic evening.
