Weekly Review – Week Ending 24th June

It’s been another reasonably quiet week for CRC but we’ve managed a few things.

We won the AVR Mob Match again this year, congratulations to a smaller team of Simon Wharton, Daniel Parker, Michael Luff, Annika Davidson and Diane Aldridge.

Marie Vinolo-Young picked up two trophies at the Aspire 5 mile summer sunset. A first place trophy for female senior and the second place female overall, just 35 seconds off first place.

Mark Cortaville ran the Swansea Half Marathon in 1:40:46.

And in non racing news we had a great response and great conditions for our first solstice runs. 16 people and 3 dogs had a rude awakening running 500 feet of elevation to see the sunrise from Little Solsbury Hill over Bath. Followed by bacon rolls and a cup of tea.

And then in the evening 14 people ran up to Oliver’s Castle on the Roundway overlooking Devizes to see the sunset and enjoy some Prosecco.
