Weekly Review – Week Ending 21st October

From Club Championship to World Championship our runners have been keeping busy this weekend.

In the Club Championship, we had 7 runners at the White Horse Gallop, although I’ve only seen pictures of them walking up the really steep hill.

Well done to Pete Allen who took home the Male Vet 60 prize.

Alison Graham and Sally Ball were at Stroud Half Marathon where Alison claimed a new PB of 1:39:24.

Darren Thorley and Mark Cortaville did the Great South Run, it’s like the Great North Run but it’s in the south, is 10 miles rather than 13 and has far fewer people running it.

Richard Biggs travelled to deepest Dorset for a lumpy run along the south coast from Charmouth to Dorchester at the inaugural LDWA Doddle West, roughly a marathon in distance.

And finally, Andrew Wood was at the Obstacle Course Race World Championships in London. He’s not quite the 3k world champion but he had a great time even if it’s not quite as nice as his last two world championship trips to Canada.

And don’t forget that you can send your reports for uploading on the website and putting in the newsletter by sending them to news@corshamrunningclub.co.uk
